Small Group Counseling

What is small group counseling?

Small group counseling is a responsive intervention available to all students. These groups are meant to support and enhance the development of personal and academic skills. During these groups, students have the opportunity to share their strengths, challenges, express themselves, benefit from other group members, identify problems & causes based on the topic, as well as develop new or alternative coping strategies!

Typically, small groups meet each week during resource hours or during their lunch period. This way, students are not missing out on class time! Also, groups generally run for 6-8 weeks :) Small counseling groups will be year-long and based on students' needs.
